The reverse action ratchet has a longer handle that is designed to be pulled down, rather than pushed up when tensioning a load. The longer handle allows for less force to be used to achieve your desired level of tension. The reverse ratchets pull mechanism allows for a more natural movement putting less stress on your shoulders and back than traditional push tensioning ratchets.
